I realize there are quite a few things I will be talking about this year in particular that most folks will be scratching their heads over, asking, “Why didn’t they do this last year?”
Those folks aren’t loons in that some activities are better suited for fall or winter in the garden. We know that, and in most cases we fully intended to take advantage of such, but for one of two reasons (sometimes both), we did not.
1) not having the funds at the time
2) only so many hours in a day and missed the best seasonal window
There is also a more rare third reason certain things were not done last year:
3) we couldn’t make up our minds (such as placement for the crabapple tree move)
