Surprise! I just needed more time.

Surprise!
Found this surprise today. I had planted a few sunflowers last year too late, and they didn’t do well. Some did not come up at all. I may be wrong, but I think this is one that did not grow last year. [Update: it’s been identified as a maple seedling.]
