eastern black swallowtail caterpillar in our parsley

Was not expecting ro find this today! Nice surprise.
From what little I read up on this species so far, this is the final instar, and unlike monarchs, they form into butterflies heads side up. I will keep an eye out to see if it sticks around to do so.
