Compost Leads to Garden?

“It sounds dumb, but sometimes I think that I garden just so that I can compost.  It’s actually really interesting and fun to see a bunch of dead junk turn into pure black gold.”

If you watch 1 gardening video all year, make it this one!
A complete guide to soil microbiology.

I tend to have a bad habit of listening more than watching many YouTube videos because I’m trying to do too many things at once.  However, this channel is one where sometimes I can do this without missing the visual aspect because videos like this one are more of a verbal presentation with only occasional visual references.  I do want to point out that there are many more he has done where I do need to be watching to get the full picture.  I also don’t want to downgrade the deeply informative nature of this particular video despite the amusing nature of this quote.  There is a lot of very good info in the video overall.

My reason for sharing this particular bit has more to do with my own interest in yet another example of how folks talk about their own relationships with composting.  I find it fascinating how many different ways folks say the exact same thing just in their own way which reveals a bit of their personality too depending on how they talk about it.
