I’m working on a post about using the herb kit I hope to have up later tonight, but in the meantime I did get the following planted today:
One of my neighbors stopped by today to ask if I wanted to look at a few things they were going to get rid of before they boxed them up to take them to a shop that puts sales proceeds towards helping a shelter. A few things she mentioned grabbed my interest, so I said, “sure!” Continue reading “Speaking of seed starting…”
I have been getting ready when I can to begin the indoor seed starters out of what we have so far already seed wise. I hope to have at least four veggies in their starter pots by this time next week. If I manage more–woo hoo! Continue reading “Doing my level best…”
I stumbled upon a new-to-me garden related site today. I received a whack in the back of the head reminder when spotting a post that talked about different systems to make a calendar or use apps to keep track of when you should be starting seeds indoors. Continue reading “Oh, right…it’s March.”
I was at City Hall today to take care of a few things, and I stopped by the Conservation Commission office to touch base on a few works in progress like the milkweed seed packets, the upcoming Arbor Day sapling giveaway, and other things they do or have a hand in locally. Continue reading “One week until the first community garden meeting.”
I have the “Safety Dance” song stuck in my head with a spoof title I was considering for this post, but I’ve spared you all that punny travesty. Continue reading “1st 2019 frost date adjustment”
And I have been wanting to write about it, but haven’t had the time. Continue reading “Fermented wheat grass is a thing.”
Yes, the wheat grass I mentioned finding again the other day. Such a seemingly simple find turned into a late night “huh?” for me. Continue reading “Remember the wheat grass?”
One distraction when I’m working on the seed list is thinking about one berry to choose to add to our abundance, and how we haven’t finished this year’s draft of what will go where in the kitchen garden. Continue reading “Berries on the brain.”
