Keenly aware of our predicted 122 day growing season, we’re itching to get more into the ground. At the same time, we’re trying to not repeat mistakes from last year which means more work being put into beds to make sure they are as hospitable as we can manage this year. We did manage to get some work done between rains. I’m keenly aware how much still needs doing within a month’s time. Again, higher temperatures than predicted, broke into the low 60s F. The verdict is in…
I stopped to pick some berries for my walk to the library today. My neighbor happened to be outside. I showed her the berries I’ve been trying to ID, and she thought they were likely boysenberries given what had been here prior. I offered one to her to taste, and she confirmed her thinking.
