First visit to a Conservation Commission meeting.

I finally made it to one of our city’s Conservation Commission meetings.  I’ve been curious about what exactly it is they do beyond the general scope of what such a title would suggest.

Unexpectedly, one item on the agenda turned out to be something I might actually be able to help with, involving some plant sharing with another homeowner.

So far, this has been a neat development for a lot of reasons.  I’ll write more about it in the coming days.

Paid for the second rain barrel today

Here you pay for a rain barrel in one place (City Hall), and then pick up in another (transfer station).    The pick up place isn’t open as many days of the week as the pay place.

But it’s paid for, and that’s one less thing on the check box.

As can happen, although I had a clear plan in mind about how I would go about the regrade process, sometimes there’s that one thought or question in the back of your mind that just won’t die until it gets satisfied.

Not fun to move!

Along the driveway progress

This was barely started last year, and we found an hour to spare today with co-operation from the weather, so we hopped on it.  Tomorrow I’ll post a bit more info about this project area overall.

For now, just two progress images, and I did not plan the before/after well because the shots are not exactly the same, though one seems much closer than the other thanks to Photoshop cropping.  I put in arrows on the worse off pairing to show which post in the fence is the same to give a better idea of the change.
