…won’t be back for Sat-ur-day. (Don’t ask me why that childhood tune has been in my head, but it has been. My brain tweaked the lyric without my help, oddly.) Continue reading “Rain, rain, fell two days…”

The Walipini Project – part 3
I got my call back from the Building Inspector yesterday. Nice fellow. Definitely low key, and a fruitful conversation. Continue reading “The Walipini Project – part 3”
Rain barrel(s) mini update
I’m sneaking this in and fudging the post date because I meant to write it (yesterday), but I’m really writing it now because I got caught up in something and realized too late it was past midnight. Continue reading “Rain barrel(s) mini update”

The Walipini Project – part 2
I finally remembered to bookmark the relevant local code I need to follow.
I called the Building Department today and inquired about what info I might be missing, and was told the person I should speak to is out on inspections. They took my name and number and he will get back to me. Continue reading “The Walipini Project – part 2”
Old Lily of the Valley pips
I wanted to mention that I did plant the Lily of the Valley pips, but I do not hold out much hope for them.
They, like a few other seeds and bulbs/pips I’ve had for a while spent some time due to the moves in bad storage conditions.
The pips look beyond hope, however I figured if I don’t plant them anyway, I’ll always wonder if somehow even one might have made it. I have shady room to spare right now, so I got them in the ground today.
Time will tell.
Along the driveway progress
This was barely started last year, and we found an hour to spare today with co-operation from the weather, so we hopped on it. Tomorrow I’ll post a bit more info about this project area overall.
For now, just two progress images, and I did not plan the before/after well because the shots are not exactly the same, though one seems much closer than the other thanks to Photoshop cropping. I put in arrows on the worse off pairing to show which post in the fence is the same to give a better idea of the change. Continue reading “Along the driveway progress”
A Tale of Two Cameras
I currently have two digital cameras. One is cheap and terrible at close ups. The other is good for its time, but now would be considered old. The older one is finicky, and often won’t save data properly. I have not yet had time to see if I can get it fixed. I also, at this time, cannot afford a new camera (and, no, I do not own a cell phone that can take pictures). Continue reading “A Tale of Two Cameras”
