I’m sneaking this in and fudging the post date because I meant to write it (yesterday), but I’m really writing it now because I got caught up in something and realized too late it was past midnight. Continue reading “Rain barrel(s) mini update”

The Walipini Project – part 2
I finally remembered to bookmark the relevant local code I need to follow.
I called the Building Department today and inquired about what info I might be missing, and was told the person I should speak to is out on inspections. They took my name and number and he will get back to me. Continue reading “The Walipini Project – part 2”
Along the driveway progress

Recent library reading

The Berry Army
I did a quick walk about today. We only have one tiny patch of snow left in the front yard. Fat drops of rain were falling just infrequently enough that I snuck in about 20 minutes of fallen twig pickup and general observation.

Potting soil smells off…
Since it seems like the weather really isn’t going to give up the below freezing nights consistently anytime soon, I thought maybe it was time to give up fantasies of putting some things in the ground, and pulled out ye olde bag of last year’s leftover potting soil.
